Dr. Musarrat Maisha Reza
Dr. Maisha has been conferred a PhD in Muscle Biology from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She is currently a research fellow at Karolinska Instituet. She identified equal opportunities and education as vital elements that enabled her to pursue her dreams. She hopes to use her privilege as a platform to pay it forward. Her passion in empowering women has led to a campaign to raise awareness on issues pertaining to gender equality. She strongly believes that each child has a right to quality education and is creating a creative science curriculum for refugee and underprivileged children. She is working to reduce child marriages in Bangladesh to enable girls to have access to an independent and brighter future. Her efforts in advocating for quality education has led to her recent appointment as a Global Youth Ambassador for Education at A World at School, TheirWorld.
Sameerah has graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a bachelor in honors in Life Sciences. She is currently a postgraduate medical student at The University of Sydney. She is passionate about children’s education and has always tried to involve herself in different aspects of it. While in Singapore, she volunteered most recently in a primary school reading program, KidsREAD, targeted at children from lower income families. Her passion for reading as well as her love for children drove her to seek out a cause that merged these two interests. Coming from a family that recognized the value of education, she valued the good educational opportunities she had access to. She recognized that it was a privilege that many children around the world yearned for. She hopes to contribute in every way to enable greater access to education for children in underprivileged areas.
Alia Binte Mohammed Mustafa
Alia is a firm believer that education is empowering and that learning is lifelong. She considers herself lucky to be born in this day and age and to have been presented with opportunities to improve herself and reach out to others around the world to help make a difference. She takes inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci and has vast interests in many subjects including design, herbology, zoology and social psychology. She has qualifications in various fields including Landscape Architecture, English Teaching and, Tourism and Events Management. In recent years, Alia has embarked on a new journey in the field of Cosmetic Science and is currently a Scientific Support Specialist with an MNC based in Singapore.
