Last week, the U.S. suddenly slashed two-thirds of America’s funding to the United Nations agency (UNRWA) that has been running schools for Palestinian children across Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan and even in Syria for over 60 years.
This decision could leave more than 500,000 youths uneducated and without hope for the future!
Belgium and Sweden stepped in to fast-track their promised aid to UNRWA but more funding is needed to keep the school doors open! We need more nations to step in to close this funding gap!
Every child has the right to an education, an education that allows them to pursue their dreams. And every child means every child, no exceptions.
